Classic Decorating Guide

The Art Nouveau style from the late 1800's and early 1900's is often associated with the Arts & Craft's movement of the same period but had it's origins from Europe. Recognizable by it's distinctive plant and nature motifs executed in a sinuous, flowing manner this style was prominent in wallcovering patterns, textiles, canvas art, and furniture decorations. The Tiffany glass company embraced the designs as early as 1895 in their signature products. Many similar lamps and glass home accents are available today with the common dragonfly and butterfly themes often associated with this romantic and mystic style.
